hi all!

is it possible to run a script on aerender.exe?

i know that the "-r" and "-s" flag have different meanings when calling aerender.exe and afterfx.exe via command line.

i need a definite answer as it affects the structure of a large scale project.

thanks!

Unfortunately, no. You can only use afterfx.exe in line with scripts.  It's annoying, yes.  But, aerender is just the render engine module of AE the program.  aerender.exe was not designed to alter the structure or setup of an aep file.

hi lazlo hollyfeld!

thanks for your answer! (though grim)

i can now put that issue to rest and finalize the design of the system.
