Question

aerender randomly omitting data from log file on sequence render (After Effects)

When using aereneder to render sequences log file omitts random data from log file. Although it renders all frames, log data loss can affect rendering automation and may cause false reports of non rendered frames and incomplete renders.

When rendering video files this bug does not happen.

In the attached files you can see that some frames were not logged as rendered, and in the other log file it seems like the render did not finish.

In both renders that created these log files all frames were rendered correctly.

In time when the industry is leaning towards automation, aerender is a very important tool

Don't hasitate to contact me, aerender is a very important to my workflow and my clients workflow

Thanks in advance

To address the issue of missing log data when using aerender, consider implementing a secondary logging mechanism to capture all rendered frames. This will help ensure accurate reporting and prevent false reports of incomplete renders. Also, ensure aerender and all related scripts are up to date, as patches may resolve this bug.

Thank you, will do.

Altough I wish aerender would get more needed attention. It's been more than a year and a half since last bug fix...

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
