Affect Effects not working

Question

Hello, I updated to the most recent Affect Effects 24.2.1, and now it barely opens projects; I can't pre-render projects, and I also can't get anything to upload to the encoder. I am working on a Windows 11 operating system.

Does anyone have any ideas why it's not working?

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
