Affecting a Singular Layer of One Source

Hello! I am building a video in after effects and have cut multiple clips out of the same source file. If I want to apply a time stretch to one of the clips, is it going to time stretch every layer/clip of that same source file or will it only affect the one?

In After Effects, you should be fine to apply time remapping changes to any layer, and they should behave independently from other layers referencing the same source. Each layer on the timeline has its own independent properties for time, in the same way, that they have independent properties for position or scale. The only way each layer that references the same source should change is if you modify that source in the project window, or the original file in some way. I hope that helps.
