Affter Effects won't Launch - Adobe Clean Font Missing

Adobe After Effects wont launch and throws up the AGM font error from version 26.0 onwards.

A possible explanantion that can be drawn from this:

  • Company has updated it’s security measure, which causes this conflict with the AGM font.

To compensate I have been using v25.1, which has also suddenly stopped working. It keeps crashing on launch at the ‘Initializing Mediacore’ stage.

Before support steps in asking me to try @josiah0206 solution in this thread https://adobe.ly/3WZVjci ; 
yes, I have looked into the possible solutiion, and our company’s security features stop us from meddling with windows security settings, so the solution above does not apply.

What I am asking for:

  • Resolve v26.0 AGM font error on launch. This issue seems widespread.
  • Make v24.6.8 availble to download. For some reason I cannot find it anywhere

Requesting a quick and effective resolution. This has been dragging on for a year at this point, and as of now, I am completely locked out of After Effects and unable to work on my projects.

P.S - Yes. I have already run Creative Desktop App un-installer. Cleared my cache. Checked Fonts folder.

System Specs:
Win 11 Enterprise 64-bit
CPU - Intel Core Ultra 9 285H
RAM - 64GB
GPU - Nvidia RTX Pro 2000 (Blackwell)

    Sorry you're running into this. The "Unable to create AGM Font ('Adobe Clean - Bold')" launch error is a known issue documented by Adobe:

    The documented resolution involves changing the Block untrusted fonts setting for AfterFX.exe in Windows Exploit Protection. Since your organization's security policy prevents you from making that change, I would recommend sharing the Adobe documentation with your IT/security administrator.

    They would need to determine whether an exception for After Effects can be made within your organization's security requirements.


    Regarding After Effects 24.6.8, Adobe generally provides the current and previous major versions through Creative Cloud, so older versions may no longer be available there. Since you're using an Enterprise-managed system, I would also check with your Creative Cloud administrator to see what versions they can make available through the Admin Console.
