Question

After Affects will not open sighting error code (0xc000007b)

Downloaded Photoshop - had this error code, fixed it with getting the Redistributable C++'s and has been working for a few weeks
Now downloading After Affects I get the same error code and trying to reinstall/ installing the C++'s again and its still not working. I've followed other fixes on here for the ones I apparently need but they don't work.



These are all the ones I have, have not found anything about deleting any, also did a disk check/repair in the command terminal ChkDsk f/ C  thing, attempted to run as admin and attempted to change compatibility. Also tried removing the msvcp100.dll files and installing new ones.

Running Windows 10 Pro 64bit
I5-9600K (3.9 -4.6ghz)
32gb Ram 6GB graphics card etc.

I found these errors, will I have to reinstall these ones to get rid of the error code?

Any fixes for this? Already paid a months subscription on it and it still does not open - is there a way I can contact Adobe techys?

Hi, my PC has the correct windows and is well within the boundries of being able to run the program.

 

The only thing i havnt done on this list id reinstall my GPU, mainly because i use it daily with other applications and it doesnt have an issue.

 

Its definately something to do with the program/program background files or the C++ files.

Ive tried online fixes for the error code but none have worked.

What version of After Effects do you use? C++ 2005 is a pretty old program. You just install x64 only because your OS is 64-bit.

Hi, im tring to run After Affects 2020 (17.0)  Ive also tried the previous version (16.3)? But have the same arror code.

Would 64bit mean i dont require the x68 files?

What I mean is you install x64 code

only. It would be better to set and meet the minimum requirement initially in order to find the cause. x86 is 32-bit code. After Effects 2020 is a 64-bit application. I would not think you need x86 code for After Effects.
