After effect cannot import psd file

hi. I cannot import psd files to my project (import as-composition-retain layer sized)
the programm not responding on importing popup screen
i not used cmyk color mode in psd.
i used students license.
please help

I had the same problem with AE 22.2.1
After failing with multiple-layered PSD-s, I tried if it imports a PSD with just one layer, a flattened image basically. It did.

And after that, it also imported the more complex file right away.

Without any info about your system, the PSD specs and so on nobody can tell you much. This could be anything from an overly complex layer/ group structure to using an unsupported feature to trivial stuff like having a defective color profile assigned to the file. more info is definitely required.

I create screenshots to adobe photoshop. I reset to default settings (after
effects and photoshop( SHIFT+CTRL+ALT after launch)
i used rgb 8bit mode in photoshop.
Myabe you know correct color mode and color profile? 100% working? for test
programs and import to ae.
ps. English is not my native language.
