i have tried using different computer, one with ae cc18/media encoder18, the other with ae cc19/media encoder 19 and both of them had the same outcome - blank mp4 with audio. the only way i can work around this is to export in after effect as .AVI then export to mp4 in media encoder 19

Send me a private message with a link, if possible. I'll have a look at it.

Would you mind to send me the project - this is driving me crazy. Please include the assets, or just the first visible, to I have something to check.

Okay, we have an image. That's good.

I just saw that you have set the output crop to "scale to fit" (the setting is top left). Better set it "fit frame size" or whatever it is called in english.

Next, set your output dimensions to the desired values. Let's see what's happening.

You don't have to add extra motion blur. MB is usual switched of until export rendering. Preview looks fine all the time, until this point and ppl don't know where it comes from.

So if you can preview the video in full resolution and with all effects enabled, AE is fine.

What happens if you export the video with standard settings for full HD?

cc force motion blur? gonna take a long while to load, but yes

Then let's go a step back: can you preview the comp in AE with full resolution and motion blur enabled, if you use it?

You just need to scroll a bit down in the right panel and you'll find the coding settings. There is profile and level. Set level to 5.2 and see, if it works.

You are encoding to a non-standard image size. Probably the wrong level setting for H264. You need 5.2.
