After Effect won't complete the save

It work let me collect files without saving it, of course. 

I just went to my system settings > Security & Privacy > Full Disk Access and checked After Effects but i have to quit it for it to work.

If there arent any other solutions, i might just have to close it and lose my progress since my last autosave.

What about a File -> Dependencies -> Collect Files... and then generating a report only to see if AE can figure out what's failing? 

Unfortunately, it wont let me manually save as a new file name, or to a new locations. Each time, it begins the save then stops at 13%. The window just disappears. 

I still have the * next to the file name at the top. 

I tried to File > Save as > Save a copy As 22x and the same exact problem happens. 

I tried clearing all my cache and closing all other programs. I even changed the ram settings to allow for more ram (although my mac says I have 25gb available ram)

When you do a manual save, does the * after the filename go away or is the file still staying as "edited"? It's quite possible AE is able to finish the rest of the save after the 12% and it was just the initial serialization of the file that takes some time. 

If you try to save back to a previous version of AE (save as 22.* from the File menu), does that work any differently?

No there arent. I just get to 13% and then this window disappears. I thought it was saving the whole time, even in autosave. I hadnt realized that it wasnt completing until this morning when I tried to close the file and it asked me to save
