Question

After Effects 17.5.0 not importing .jpg images properly. One image "stuck" in memory?

This is a really weird one.

I'm trying to import individual .jpg images exported from Illustrator artboards, but only one image ever shows up in After Effects. Like it thinks ALL the images are that same one. It's hard to explain, so please watch the video to get an idea:

I really need to get this working asap, but am not sure what more I can do. I'm attaching my .jpg images below, in case there's something about them that proves useful in tracking this down. Any help is appreciated!

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX 33-Core 3.00GHz

96GB RAM

Nvidia 2080Ti x2 - Driver: 452.06

The import cache is messed up somewhere. First try purguing your cache with Edit > Purge > All Memory and Disk Cache.

If that doesn't work, restart AE. If that doesn't work, restart your computer. If that doesn't work rename your files and try importing again.

Hi, and thanks for your suggestions.

I have done all the things you mention, and none of it has made any difference.

The video below shows immediately after a machine restart, fresh open of After Effects, renamed files, and a "Purge All Memory & Disk Cache":

I've been using After Effects for forever, and have never encountered something like this before. So wierd.

The images I attached in my initial post import just fine for you?

Thanks again.

I've downloaded your images and imported them into AE and everything is working fine. (17.5 win 10)
