After effects 2020 crashes when i relink the files

Hey guys,

My after effects is crashing when i try to open a project.

i tried placing the folder in a different location from assets and then tried to relink the assets but it crashes whenever i relink the files. 

 

please note: the project file was saved in a mac before it got to me. 

Im using a windows laptop.

You also check the ASCII character codes in the file name, just in case.

Hi @fahada66195971,

 

Did the suggestion provided by experts help? Does it crash when you try to relink a particular file or with any file that you try to relink? Also, are there any Photoshop files that you are trying to relink?

Try to save us the file than relink you assets, also try to import your file in a new project than relink the missing link

i have tried doing all of this, it still crashes when I try to link the files
