After Effects 2026 Build 67 - Effects Control Panel shows no settings for certain layers

Certain layers in my comp do not populate any settings in the effects control panel, where it used to have Transform, Opacity, Unassigned masks, etc. 

This just happened today as yesterday all of this functionality was working and nothing has since changed. 

- restarted computer
- reset prefs
- cleared cache

Why is this happening now? And if this is normal functionality, who thought it was a smart idea to remove the default layer settings (transform + opacity, etc) out from the effects control panel?

    Hi there,

     

    Thanks for reaching out. The Effect Controls panel shows the properties of the effects applied to the selected layer. Transform, Opacity, etc can be controlled in the Properties panel (go to Window menu and select Properties).
