After Effects 22.4 crashing with Cinema 4D 3D renderer

After Effects crashes all the time when using Cinema 4D renderer for extruding and animating shapes, I have tried reinstalling, clearing preferences and other things without success. I can barely create or open an existing project and after some seconds the application crashes.

Update:

I have also some crashes when working with Cinema 4D files linked to After Effects. The crashes are only present if you run the Apple Silicon version of the application. You can run After Effects in Rosetta to work with those files. It will run slower but more stable.

The issue is under review by a Quality Engineer in Adobe's user voice forums. I will keep updated this discussion if solutions become available.

Would you mind testing it on a new project and seeing if it still crashes? Are you using any third-party plug-ins? Also, does it show any crash report?

Hi Nishu,

Thank you for your answer, I have already done the test of importing the .AEP file in a new project or starting fresh from scratch with the same result in After Effects crashing after switching the composition to Cinema 4D 3D renderer. I have only installed Trapcode Suite 18 and Yanobox Nodes. Each time AE crashes I send the report to Adobe and it seems to be generating .dmp files that I cannot read, I can share some of them with you if you tell me that these files are the correct ones with the crash information.
