After Effects 22.4 is now available for download from the Creative Cloud desktop application. This release is recommended for all users.

What's new?

There is a new preference to separate the Position property dimensions in the Timeline by default. How to update After Effects to version 22.4?

Open the Creative Cloud desktop application and click the Updates tab on the top-left. Find After Effects in the list and click Update.

I don't see the update in my Creative Cloud desktop application. What should I do?

Click Help > Check for Updates from the Creative Cloud desktop application to refresh it.

Honestly speaking....I would love for you Adobe to fix

01) Its color management so that its as robust and straightforwards as Nuke...especially when it comes to handeling ACES. Right now its really painful the number of steps one needs to take in order to work in an ACES environment inside of AE

02) Multichannel EXR work flow -

(a) The extractor plugin just does not cut it any more...neither does cryptomatte...like I cant apply a mask on a layer with cryptomatte

(b) The workflow is obscenely slow...like riding a bullock cart with two overaged thin bullocks pulling the cart...and I'm running a Ryzen 9 5950x with 128GB DDR4 RAM 3600 and a RTX Quadro A4000...It's just unworkable right now

03) Make every plugin that ships 32bit...especially stuff like inner.outer key/ match grain/...I mean these are just basics at this point

These are just the very very very basics in this day an age of vfx which should just BE there

04) Get a good renoiser plugin built in considering all footage today is shot on digital

Hi,

I'm having this very annoying issue, every once in a while when I open After Effects I get this error.

It resets my output templates to the original ones.

It also does that with global preferences, workspaces and export name templates. It is slowing me down in my work and I'd like to get a fix for it. I am running the latest version, on a Windows 10 with a Nvidia 3090.

Of course, after the update After Effects 22.4 can't communicate with Media Encoder 22. Any help with fixing error, (5027 :: 12) After effects: AEGP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Failed to connect to Adobe Media Encoder. (5027 :: 12)

Running Monterey Version 12.4

All software up to date. I've already downgraded to old version, restart, reinstalled Adobe CC, deleted all the preferences.

Nothing is working.
