After Effects 22.5.0 + MacOS Monterey V12.4 + Stardust 1.0.6b Crash

Hi,

I’ve just got a new Mac Studio running macOS Monterey V12.4.
After installing the latest After Effects V22.5.0 (Build 53) and all of my plugins I received an error saying…

The following plugins are installed, but not yet compatible with this version of After Effects. They will show as missing in existing projects and cannot be applied. To run After Effects in a compatible mode, choose “Get info” in the application context menu and enable “Open using Rosetta”.

The plugin I’m most desperate to get working is Superluminal Stardust.

So I enabled “Open using Rosetta” by right clicking on the After Effects application and it loaded up.
But when I applied the Stardust effect After Effects crashed.

After that, I installed the previous version of After Effects V22.4.0 (Build 56) but had the same issue.

Do when have any idea of when there might be a fix for this, or a workaround that I might be able to try for the time being?

Thanks.

March 2023 and I'm still having the same issue

Upon further research, turns out this plugin is not compatible with mac m1 and m1 pro. Developers need to seriously think about updating this plugin as m2 pro is already coming out. But if you (or anyone else) managed to do a workaround, that would be really helpful.

For now, I've decided to give up and try video copilot element 3d instead.

You will have to wait for the plugin and script developers to update their product. Most of the major developers that I use are now M1 compatible.

Video Copilot (Bokeh) has updated all of the plugins they offer. I am not sure about anything else that is on the list.
