After Effects 24.6.2 Search Bar in Comp Tab

Question

When selecting a Composite Tab the search bar automatically turns white and is ready for me to search for some. I haven't selected this but it is automatically ready for me to search something.

This is not only for 24.6.2. I am still on 24.3 and I have the same problem. If I hit 0 for RAM preview, then 0 is written in the search bar instead of initiate RAM preview. This bug is very erratic. It drives me nuts! Is there any possibility to disable the search bar at all? I never used it actually... Look how big and dominant it is.
