After Effects 3D camera track, can't select track points

Hi ~!

I have a question regarding camera tracking in After Effects. I tracked this scene/shot before and it worked fine, but I might have pressed a button that turned off the ability to select tracking points/hovering over them doesn't give me a target/bullseye either. (I am still able to view all the track points, just can't interact with it!) I tried it in a different project and it works fine, but each time i reopen my project the same thing keeps happening even after I retrack and solve it again.

Any tips? Let me know if my problem is understandable! appreciate the help, thanks

It's Ctrl/Cmnd + Shift + h. If that does not work go to the view menu:

For the video, you will use the 3D camera tracker effect to ensure the video's dimensions and frame rate match the composition frame rate and dimensions.

I solve this problem by doing this
1. My Export Video Frame Rate and Composition Frame Rate doing same and retry Traking
2. Select View>Show Layers Controls

3. 3D view popup "Active Camera"

Close After Effect and Retry After doing above step.

Render Track Points : "Selected"

Nothing was working for me but i figured my footage was larger than my comp size. I couldn't tell this was the problem because the warning banner was waaayyyy out of frame for some reason. I saw it while accidentally zoom/scrolled out of the comp size. So here you go : you just have to pre-comp the footage, analyse again and voilà!

Switching for the 2D tracker and going back to the 3D one works for me. I've been able to select a tracking point after that.

I have had the exact same issue for the past 2 days . I've watched 15 videos , and nothing seems to work . Layer controls are showing , active camera is on . I can see the tracking points , but no target appears .

Has anyone managed to solve your issue yet ?

If anyone is still having this issue in the 2022 version, the solutions here did not help me. The only thing that worked was turning off "render track points" under the Effects Controls, then turning it back on. This is the ONLY way I've been able to select track points. They're not selectable right after finishing the camera tracking, and the ability to select them goes away intermittently. So, just keep turning it off and on. Just another inexplicable quirk from Adobe

Keep it weird, Adobe. I guess...

I had the same issue and all I needed to do was pre-compose (move all attributes) the layer that I was trying to track and it worked. If the layer is a different size than the composition... I seem to have problems selecting the track points.

If you film with 4k you have to convert it to 1920/1080 then it works for me

i had my comp at a different resolution and had scaled my layer down to match. This seemed to cause this error when it came to tracking. I could see my points but couldn't interact with them and my target wouldn't appear. I remade my comp at the same resolution as my video clip then tracked it. The target tool then appeared.
