After Effects 3D Extrusion Camera distortion

Hi,

I am getting unexpected results when extruding a shape layer.

Green Layer - What I want
Blue Layer - Slight distortion caused by extrusion

I am trying to create an effect where my logo looks 2D when static but then animates in 3D space - The problem is that when I apply the extrusion the camera causes a slight distortion. I am guessing it has to do with the type of camera / lens I am using. If anyone could help, even suggest a tutorial or the keywords I need to research that would be amazing

Thanks

Correct answer Rick Gerard

Try animating the extrusion depth (aa) as the camera moves. Unless you position the camera a long way from the 3D text layer, you are going to see the perspective on the edges. Perspective depends on camera position. The closer the camera is to the subject, the greater the shift in perspective. Simply animating extrusion depth will solve this problem better than fooling with the camera.
