After Effects always crashes when I try to use the Magic Bullet Looks plugin.

It lets me apply the mbl plugin, but I can't do anything from then on! Everything freezes and it stops responding then crashes. So fustrating. On good days, it will allow me to  apply the plugin to my clips and edit the filter, but my clips won't even change in preview. Please help me. My after effects version is 15.0.0(build 180)
