After Effects Audio Issue

My audio is not working correctly in AF. It plays normally in the clip, but in the final comp and preview, it has an echo, like it's playing from the clip and final comp at the same time. I've checked the settings and can't figure it out.

Without seeing a screen recording of this in action, it's impossible to tell for sure what's going on, but here's one guess.

You mentioned that your clip plays with no audio issue, so do you have your clip in your composition, but also in a pre-comp? If so, is the timing of the pre-comp slightly offset from the other clip, and is audio being passed through your pre-comp? If this is the case, then you would have a little speaker icon on the left of your pre-comp name. You could disable that to stop sound coming through any pre-comps.

Alternaltively, with nothing selected, hit the L key twice to reveal the waveform of all audio layers. Do more than one set of waveforms show up? Please post a screen recording with audio and showing your timeline for more assistance.
