"After Effects can't continue: s_edgedetect plug-in generated an unexpected exception."

How do I fix this error, everyone? This also often happens with other Saphire plugin effects. I've read a lot of posts about this error in the Adobe community and see people usually saying they need to delete it and not use that effect anymore, but I need them so I can't delete them. Is there any other way?
