After Effects CC 18 doesn't work

Hi folks!

The following problem drives me crazy: I just updated AE to the new version of 2018. The installation

of the program in the Adobe Creative window works properly but when I want to open it, the only

window that opens is the Render Queue Window. I can't open new projects, I cannot create new compositions

--> the Render Queue Window stands still, there's no progress..

I already deinstalled it, reinstalled it then but I've got the same problem again. Anybody out there who can help?

P.S.: All the other programs like Premiere, Illustrator, etc. work great and my MacBook requires all components needed (graphic card,...)

Hi Ben,

I understand that when you open/launch After Effects, all you see is the Render Queue.

Does that look like this:

If so, you are launching the Adobe After Effects Render Engine, not the app.

Try launching After Effects from the Applications.
