after effects cc 2020 stopped playing preview

I've been editing for years now and nothing like this has happened before and im not sure whats wrong. I've read a bunch of  peoeple having the same problem and i have tried all the 'solutions' but none has worked for me. i tried to change the audio hardwear but that didnt work, ive deleted all my cashe and that also didnt work. No project file is showing any previews of my edits and it wont play audio or anything. its just stuck on one fame no matter where i scroll. it does work when i first get on for like a few frames before it just stops previewing and nothing works and then when i try to exit out of after effects the whole softwear just stops responding all together and then it goes like this:
