After Effects Composition View Panel Bug

Recently opened an AE file on a Mac that was created on Windows and it shows a composition panel like this. It seems that switching from "1 View" to any other views like "2 View-Horizontal" fixes it. Does anyone know what to do? Currently using the latest AE version.

Try changing the Hardware Acceleration in the Project Panel:

If you have problems decoding MPEG (MP4) footage try disabling hardware acceleration in the Preferences.

None of these options worked however, I did something similar by unchecking Hardware Accelerate and it worked!
