After effects crash report on older version

Question

I have to use an older version of After effects for college, however upon installing the older version to transfer my files onto it os I can edit them it is giving me a crash report. Im not too sure how to fic this but it's probably a common erorr, i just don't know where to look to find out how to fix it.

You cannot justr simply open newer files in older versions. you have to save them specifically as the legacy format. Otherwise the error simply suggests the usual issues with hardware acceleration stuff, so check the preferences, update your graphics driver and all that.
