After effects crash when trying to open composition

hi there,

i have a project with many compositions, all with the same setting, fps etc.

but there is just one composition i cannot open anymore. while double clicking on it , after effetcs freez and blocks.

any idea ?

running on win 10

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the issue. Sounds like it is a project-specific issue. Can you try launching After Effects in Safe mode and see if that helps? If it doesn't, unlink the media that is used in that composition and see if that brings any change. Change the location of the media in your drive to unlink it from the After Effects project. Are you still having the issue?

thanks for the answer.

safe mode doesn't help.

Unlinking elements neither.

i can visualise the precomp in the MAIN composition of the project. but when trying to open it, from timeline or project windows, it blocked.

tried alredy to empty cache, erase preferences, deinstalle & reinstall after effect. no result 😞 😞
