After Effects crashes on startup Apple M1

Not much you can do. At this point AE doesn't run natively on M1 and either the emulation works or it doesn't. There may be some nerdy stuff possible by messing around with the terminal and setting specific options for the emulation, but that's something you'll get better answers on a Mac forum. Other than that you have to wait for the next major update expected in April to bring better compatibility.
