After effects crashes while importing PSD file as composition. MacBookPro M1 Max.

After effects crashes while importing PSD file as composition. MacBookPro M1 Max. I tried memory purge, deleting preferences, reinstall, switching rendering settings in project preferences and no, my *.PSDs are not in CMYK. After effects is latest version. So it was yesterday when I was able to import *.PSDs without any issue. Same files that worked yesterday don't work today. Any other advice?

ok, I tried to reinstall Photoshop and then I checked macos for updates. There was one update and after that Im able import *.PSDs into After effects again.
