After Effects display window bug at more than 19200 pixels

Hello,
I've had the problem for a long time (about 1 year) that I can create animations with a long pixel width, e.g. 19200px x 96px (or anything bigger) (e.g. 23040x96) doesn't really run well on my M1 Macbook Pro. The display window then flickers wildly back and forth and sometimes displays other compositions. You can't see what's happening live. Working in these high pixel widths has always been impossible and I had to use my Windows PC, where it works without any problems. Has anyone had a similar experience or is there a solution to the problem?

Unfortunately, it often happens because I work as a media designer for advertising boards and there you sometimes have systems that require such long and large pixel dimensions.

I have attached two photos below.

Once an image with 23040x96px there you can't see anything and it is set to "fit to window". You should actually see something here, but due to a "bug" or problem you can't see anything here and you can't go along

On the second one you have 5760x96px which also works and which is also set to "fit to window".

If we use the Track Pad to Zoom In, After Effects zooms to the mouse position - same as if we clicked with the Zoom Tool.

Use what Rick suggested: Shift /.

Hello,
First, thanks for the answer.
I made a video to better understand the problem.
Sometimes it just doesn't respond and doesn't update properly.
In addition, it does not zoom to the point where the mouse pointer is and sometimes also shows the composition of "FCM RENDER 1920x1080"

I did some fiddling with my M1 Macbook Pro. Starting with a 30,000 X 100 comp size, the maximum Magnification is 100%. When you drop below 16,000 in width, the Magnification ratio can go to 200%. When you drop to 8,000 pixels, you can get to 400%.

I didn't have any problems using the Fit to Height or Fit to Width Transform functiions with full 30,000 wide comps using a 100 X 100 solid.

If you use the Fit option (Shift + /) on a 30,000 X 100 pixel comp the height of the comp is about 11 pixels in a full screen Comp Panel. I'm not seeing any dissapearing comps. Even if I switeh to the default workspace where the Man

Changing the comp Resolution to only 50 pixels still gives me an thin line. that is about 5 pixels high. You can't really view any animations at that Magnificaiton ratio, but the pixels are still visible. I'm not seeing any bug, even at maximum comp width. The preview only dissapears when the height is less than 15 pixels. The Magnification in your screenshot is 10%. As long as the magnification ratio gives me a height of more tan 2 pixels, I can see something.

Take the height of your comp and multiply it by the percentage in the Magnification Ratio panel, and if that number is greater than 2, you should see a line. If it is less than 2, the preview will vanish. Your Screenshot shows 10%. If the comp is 96 pixels high you should give you a preview height of 10 pixels because it rounds up.

I'm not sure how usefull a 10 pixel high preview would be, but it should show up if you use the Shift + / shortcut.
