AFTER EFFECTS - editing TEXT layer freezes AE for few minutes

Hey there friends

I have a serious problem

in year 2018, when we are traveling to Mars, my AE cannot edit basic text layer without freezing my PC. I would like to get a decent answer how to fix this incredibly "hardcore" problem. Otherwise I will have to blame it on Windows and burn whole building down.

There is noting else then adobe Cloud installed on my PC, - clean install from Dec 2017

AE version 15. build 180

PC confing :

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz (12 CPUs), ~3.7GHz

                   Memory: 32768MB RAM

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

please if you have any suggestions, let me know.

Having a PC with those specs, a clean install of AE & you can't even edit text?  The problem is all on you, kid.  My suggestion is that you go ahead and strike the match.  I think you stand to learn more from burning your building down than from anything anybody can teach you here.   Now get to it.

I have the same problem and am about to chuck my pc out the window, I didn't spend 3 grand on this equipment and not be able to use it. I have 32 gb ram and allowed we to use 20 of it, it's not the f**king pc it's this awesome yet shitass program. Importing the wrong way in premiere does the same shit. I don't get it. Please fix

    There's an update to this version, it presumably is a bug fix, and hey, it might even fix your problem.  No guarantees.

    I wouldn't know about this version -- I run the latest updated version 14 -- which is where I recommend EVERYBODY stay until Adobe gets a whole, big boatload of issues straightened out, software and otherwise.
