After Effects error 86::1

When I try to import a ".avi" file it gives me this error.

 

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hey nicostrange,

I'm sorry that you're seeing this error. Do you experience this problem will all .avi files or only this specific one? If it's a specific file, please try transcoding it using Handbrake and let us know if that helps.

Can you open it by Windows media player or other tools? If it can not be opened, the file may be corrupted.
