After Effects error code 0xc0000149

Question

Lately i have been getting this errorl; after switching from AE 23 to AE25. I have never been able to open AE25 as i am prompted this error code below.

I understand that the error has something to do with the path below, however i can not conclude a fix.

Hopefully someone can help me with this utterly annoying issue.

What is your OS?Is everything (OS, drivers, Visual C++ Redistributables) up-to-date?Have you tried completely removing After Effects via the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool and reinstalling it? It sounds like the key "PreferExternalManifest" cannot be found in the Windows registry. You could manually add it in and see if that helps, though I do not really recommend meddling around with the registry - unless you know what you're doing.
