After Effects: Error message when installing After Effects CS2

I wanted to install Adobe After Effects because it's free and so I downloaded the .zip-file from the official Adobe website. Then I extracted it and ran the setup.exe-file. But every single time I do that an error message appears and says that the programm may be installed uncorrectly. What to do?

AE 7/ CS2 is not compatible with contemporary operating systems. It merely is what it is - a fallback for people with old computers that still need to use their old license. The rest has already been said.

This is not entirely accurate, CS2 is outdated and is legacy software and is only legal to install if you own a licensed copy. It requires you to differentiate the file structure to a 32 bit architecture, if running a 64 bit architecture. This is entirely possible, but does require you to understand how this is done. Please do not intstall unless you own a legal copy.

It is not free. It is provided for those who purchased the product but can not activate it due to the servers being shut down.

Did you purchase it?
