after effects error: missing data in file (33::4)

Question

I keep getting this error and ive tried everything i found on the internet. From installing older versions to updating to importing. How can i open my project again? Iworked so much on it ://

I think it`s because i last used rotobrush before closing it. but i thought that glitch was fixed in 2020?

Does it happen while opening a particular project or any existing project that you try to open? What's the exact version of After Effects you're using? Also, what happens if instead of opening the project, you try to import the project into a new fresh one?
