The geometry options - Extrusion Depth option not available on my after effects after switching to Cinema 4D. Curvature and Segments are listed but not extrusion depth.

Correct answer Rick Gerard

You can only extrude shape and text layers. Other layers can be bent. That is what you are seeing.

As Rick says, extrusion is limited but you can fake it.  Autotrace (using alpha) your image layer so you get an mask n the shape.  Create a new shape, then copy the mask's path to the shape's path.  You now have a shape layer in the shape of your image - placing that beneath your image and extruding it gets you an extruded image.

I tried auto-trace, copy paste the mask path to shape layer
Convert to 3D but still extrusion depth option is not available

EDITED - Ignore me - I forgot your original post.

To clarify, when you have used Auto-trace to create a shape layer based on the image, within the shape layer, which is set as 3D, you're not seeing an option in Geometry Options for Extrusion?

Can you try going to File > New > Maxon Cinema 4D File ?
This will open up C4D and ask you to register (if you have not used it before).  That might trigger C4D's "integration".
