After Effects failed to update, now stuck on 'cancelling'

I ran updates a couple of weeks ago and didn't notice that After Effects got stuck on 55%. Today I clicked cancel. It is now stuck on Cancelling. I have restarted creative cloud, I have tried to uninstall After Effects. I can't use After Effects at all, and now because After Effects is stuck in cancelling I also can't update anything else as they are 'waiting'. 

I am running macOS Sequoia 15.1.1
After Effects was trying to update to v 25.1

Any advice?

    That's not ideal. Sorry to hear that.

    Try using the Adobe Cleaner tool to clean everything related to Adobe and install the app again. Here's how you can use the cleaner tool: https://adobe.ly/4gvAugz
