After Effects freezes every time I select multiple keyframes

Hey!

It has started recently after no specific installations or changes in workflow. AE glitches out during actions as simple as selecting multiple keyframes or even one keyframe when multiple parameters are opened and freezes forever so the only way to continue is to hardkill it in the task manager.

Video demo is attached (skip to 25s for the problem itself, I've recorded the whole scenario starting from startup that happens with 100% probability)

Log file for exactly the same scenario as in the video is attached.

In any project, be it a heavy scene with 3d tracking and cinema 4d shadowing or a blank project with only one shape layer. It’s not project related, the same one from the video works fine on another machine.

In any AE version: 2021, 2020, 2019.

On any of two SSDs - I’ve tried collecting the project and moving it to the main ssd with OS

In modified workspace with lots of scripts and extensions and in Standard workspace with nothing launched

In CC 2021 that was working just fine with all of the plugins installed and in clean CC 2019 launched with Ctrl + Alt + Shift with nothing external whatsoever.

I've deleted Nvidia GPU Drivers alltogether and made a clean install twice.

I've updated BIOS and swapped M2 NVMEs back and forth.

I've searched through the whole internet and stumbled upon two recommendations:

Delete Red Giant Supercomp plug-in - I've deleted all Red Giant Plugins alltogether and the problem persisted

Redgiant support once adviced someone to plug out the second monitor (what a wonderful solution) - It helped for a single test, but the next working day it started happening again. As monitors were involved, I've started testing out different connection types: switching cables from DisplayPort to HDMI to another HDMI. Connecting them to GPU ports and MB ports.

NOTHING. NOTHING HELPS.

I'd appreciate any brainstorming at all because I'm simply out of ideas and I have work that needs to be finished on this machine.

Setup:

Windows 10 21H1

CPU: i9 9900k + beQuiet liquid cooling

MB: Asus Prime Z390-P

GPU: 2080ti + UHD 630 Intel Integrated Graphics

Memory: 64gb ram

Storage: 1tb ssd with OS and AE + 1tb ssd with cache

Monitors: AOC Q34E2G5 + Samsung F22T350

UPDATE: The issue was Deep Glow plugin from Plugin Everything. Seems like it was in the way even after the clean install or my testing was not accurate.

Looks like your kbar script is running amok and trying to execute anotehr script every time the selection state changes....

Hey!

Thanks for the answer. However, I don't see how it's tied to my case with the keyframe-related actions. I tried removing kbar extension away from its folder and launched AE without it - the problem persists.
