After Effects imported footage always black and not playable

Hi! I am having this problem since a few days that whenever I import ANY kind of footage or jpeg sequence (I tried all nothing works) the preview is just black and I can't press play. 

 

It happens on all versions even on the Beta version of AE. I reinstalled multiple times into all kinds of versions.

 

I work on an Apple M1 Mac OS Ventura, 16GB

 

Please help! I have tried everything I could possibly think of and even after scanning through the internet for ages i can't find this problem anywhere else...

    i still have the issue and couldn't work with AE since almost a month please HELPPPP!!!!

    in the screenshot i added i didnt put the footage into the comp but when i do its also black or grey
