After Effects is not opening properly

Hello,

I've tried opening After Effects 2021 on my imac and when I do the only thing that appears at the top bar is "After Effects with the pull down menu Services, Hide After Effects, Hide Others and Quit After Effects". I'm unable to do anything with the program. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but the issue remains.

Please advise.
