Question

After Effects lag on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060

Hi guys !
I have an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 with 32gb and my After Effects is still very slow when editing. I’ve tried every tips AI gave me but it sadly doesn’t change anything… I use Twixtor, Sapphire and BCC a lot, which would be a reason why it’s slow but i don’t know…
Thank you so much for your help. 😁

Would you update your graphic card driver to the latest version?

    Hi Morgane,

Thanks for the post. Has it always been this way with this machine or only with the recent version? What kind of footage are you using? If it's HEVC, can you try transcoding a section and seeing if it works better? Let us know.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your quick response :)
I’ve had this machine since maybe 2 months and it was always kinda slow on AE, but since the update it feels like it’s worse. And my clips are in h.264.
    Thanks,
    Morgane

Thanks for getting back. Plugins like Twixtor (and the others you mentioned) can be quite resource-heavy and may impact overall performance.

Could you try testing without any plugins to see if things run more smoothly? Also, if possible, please share a short screen recording of what you’re seeing. That would really help us understand the issue better.

    Looking forward to your update

    Thanks,

    Nishu
