After Effects / Media Encoder won't seem to render from network drive. It seems to be adding "\?"

Question

Hello all, I'm having an issue.

I have projects stored on a network drive, but they don't seem to want to render. I looked at the logs and spotted that the file path is having "\\?\" added to the front of it.

Does anyone know if this is the case? How ti fix it? Or is this a different issue?

Without any info about your network layout and how the drives are hooked into Windows nobody can tell you much. This should not happen and if it were so common, the forums would be full of such posts. Your render actualyl starting and running for a few seconds at least would further indicate that this is something specific to your network config rather than a general AE issue.
