After Effects Not Responding on Importing PSD files

Hi, just updated to After Effects v 22.1.1 build 74 and I cannot import PSD files without it crashing and saying that it's not responding. This was not a problem until after the update.

 

Specs:

OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise

Version: 10.0.18363 Build 18363

CPU: Two Intel(R) Xeon(R) Silver 4108 CPU @ 1.80GHz, 1796 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

GPU: NVIDIA Quadro P2200

RAM: 64 GB

 

Any help appreciated.

For what it's worth: I recently ran into an issue importing PSDs on the current AE (2022, build 22.1.1), though it was in an extremely-niche use case. I tried resetting my preferences and all was right as rain after that.

If an update causes problems, the first step is to open the Creative Cloud app, find the problem app (After Effects), then click on the three little dots in the corner and select Other Versions and roll back to the previous working version. It takes about 10 minutes with a reasonable internet connection.

 

You should also file a bug report, then when you have time, update again and experiment with GPU drivers and look for 3rd party apps that may be causing problems.
