After effects pen tool mystery? the COLOR of the path itself.

Does anyone know how to change the color of the pen tools path? The actual path itself is different colors on several of my different files but I am trying to cut a path (see attached) and the path got changed to a light brown which I cannot see to well edit?

Does this help:

Shape layer path colors are the same as the layer color. Mask Path colors are set by changing the color of the Mask in the Timeline.
