After Effects Playback Very Slow/Lagging

Hello,

I am having major issues with After effects playback having extreme lagging. Even with me playing the resolution at a quarter and the viewing size at 6.25%, it still lags!

 I do have a few animations/effects going on. However, I believe my system is equipped enough to handle the load.

System:

WINDOWS HOME 10

PROCESSOR: AMD Ryzen 7 3800x 8- Core Processor

Installed RAM: 48.0 GB (4 sticks, two 16 and two 😎

SYSTEM TYPE: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Some of my effects include:

•              Jittery text using turbulence displace
•              scaling and repositioning
•              3D layer of PDF with scrolling fx, also position and orientation change.
•              Highlighting text using stroke trim paths
•              Overlay BG movement
•              Many of these fx are happening simultaneously.

If anyone could offer any suggestions, tips, advice, on what I can do to possibly help?
