Question

After Effects Preview Time Indicator does not appear + Current Time Indicator issues

After about an hour or so of working perfectly fine, the PTI (red line) stops showing up. The video plays just fine, but the PTI is missing and upon pausing, the CTI (blue line) stays where it was, instead of coming to the point where I paused.

Tried reinstalling After Effects. The issue seems to be resolved for a few hours but started up again. Tried clearing Media Cache, switching to Software Only. None of it has worked.

From the looks of it, this issue seems to be present for YEARS. if anyone has found a solution, please help.

In addition to what Toolfarm JP suggested, test After Effects on a new project in Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled.

    I have updated the graphics card driver for now, if the issue persits, will try this suggestion. Thank you.

    Would you check your graphic card driver is the latest version or not?

      thanks for the suggestion, just got a new driver update yesterday. Will see if the issue persists.
