After Effects scanning for Notch Plugin.

Hola, guten Tag!

I've worked with the Notch codec earlier this year and for the past few months, I've been getting these 2 error messages when starting AE. Note that I don't need the plugin anymore. It also seems to mess with my other plugins I'm using as they usually appear to stop working after 30-60 minutes (I tried resetting them and all) My launching looks like the following:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/ NotchLCPremierePlugin.bundle

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/ NotchLCAfterEffectsPlugin.bundle

*clicks OK*

After Effects error: Couldn't find main entry point for NotchLCAfterEffectsPlugin.bundle (48 :: 72 )

AE launches>>

The problem I'm having then is, that the folder does not exist. I'm managing to get to the library folder and everything but after the "Common" branch, there's no Plug-in Folder. I've also tried scanning for such a folder manually but it's not there. I just want to get rid of the plugin or at least stop AE from helplessly scanning for it.

*This issue has persisted through months of different AE & Mac versions*

On macOS, there are two different libraries. To find the plug-in folder, you need to go to the system library instead of the user library. Here's the path "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0"

Open Finder > click on Go in the menu bar > Go to folder > copy and paste the path. Once you're in the Media Core folder, you can remove the files and folders (or move them to a different location to keep the backup) associated with the plug-in.

    Hi Nishu, thanks for the quick (and also correct) answer. That's strange because nearly every source I've looked into online pointed me at the classic "Go To -> hold down option -> Library" route which seems to take me to the user library only.
