Hey guys,

I am working on multiple short clips(about 100 30 seconds long) for a project. I'm using an adjustment layer with a mosaic and slider control to blur some contact. But for every clip i do I have to remake the layer, Is there anyway to save a layer and aply it to a new clip?? or a faster way?? All answer appreciated! Thanks!

If all you're doing is blurring and mosaic-ing (is that a word?), you might find it faster to do this in Premiere. You can mask effects on a clip in Premiere Pro just like you can mask effects on a layer in AE.

Also, if you didn't know, you can mask effects in AE on layers without even using an adjustment layer (tutorial here). You could make a preset that includes this and just throw that on a clip without even using an adjustment layer at all.

Or, as @Jose Panadero says, just copy and paste your adjustment layer.

You can copy that adjustment layer and paste in in any composition maintaining the mosaic effect and any change you made it. Also, you can select the effect and go to Animation > Save Animation Preset. This way you can save your effect adjustments, and apply them from the Effects & Presets control panel.
