-On a macbook pro

-Tried all the workarounds, cleared cache, deleted all plugins.

This JUNK program still will not open. I have tried to reinstall every possible version, SAME PROBLEM.

Fix this now Adobe, you are ruining peoples work.

Same problem here. Been this way for weeks. It will work for a couple weeks and then the same problem again and won't go past "Initializing Required Components" splash screen. Same for 2022 and 2021 versions.

might have found a fix. (Too soon to tell, but I did get AE to open up again, at least) - be sure to turn off Adobe fonts/make sure you do not have any Adobe fonts active. These may be creating font conflicts with fonts elsewhere on your computer (perhaps?!) - will update later if this fix holds for a while or was only temporary.

Let me know how that rolls!

I wound up having to trash my old user profile on the mac and start over 😉

Hi jcowie33 & Fred_otj,

Sorry for your crash.

Do you launch After Effects by double-clicking a project file or by clicking its icon? Do you get any crash report?

Please try the suggestions mentioned in the following article: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-fix-common-after-effects-crashes/td-p/10684130

Let us know if any of the steps help.

Thanks,

Nishu

Please give us system specs. Has After Effects run on this machine before?
