After Effects Transform Dropdown not working

Hoping that anyone can help me.

I am attempting to animate on After Effects and after converting my Ai File into a shape layer I am unable to expand the transform menu or add any animations on the add button (i can click them once but then I can't). Desperately hope someone can help my deadline is soon!

Try to close and reopen AE. It worked for me with the sam problem 😉

Thanks for reaching out. I see that you are not able to expand the shape layer properties. 

Is it happening to the shape layer that's not generated from a Illustrator layer? What if you import your Illustrator file in a new project and try to do that same? Also, what is the exact version of After Effects are you using: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-how-to-find-the-exact-version-of-after-effects-you-re-using/td-p/9972137?page=1

In the meantime, try resetting the preferences of After Effects: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-p/10634342?page=1
