After Effects using 90% of my memory

Ive been trying to figure out why my After Effects is uing 90-100% of memory. Ive done everything from purging my memory and cache, allocating 29GB of Ram dedicated to my Adobe programs. What sucks is that this never happened to me before.

My pc specs:
i7-9700K Over clocked
32 GB of ram Over Clocked
RTX 2060 Over Clocked

Do you mean by that that a plain AE with no projects open is consuming so much RAM? If so, this very much points at some memory leak in a driver or plug-in and you may need to apply updates. A single plug-in messing up e.g. multiframe rendering can have ill effects. Otherwise more info is required.

I'll have the project open but not working on anything. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Ae twice. I even went back an update and it seemed to fix the issue. I was reading other posts and apparently the newest version has been giving people the same issue.

Hi JacobsNotion,

Sorry for your issue.

Do you see the Low Memory warning while working? Are there any third-party plug-ins installed on your computer? Have you tried reastrting your computer when it happens?

Let us know.

Thanks,

Nishu

Try allocating even multiples of 4 GB. to other applications. Odd numbers for the bus pipeline are not well received.
